MP govt imposes lockdown in all cities from Friday 6pm to Monday 6am

In Madhya Pradesh, lockdown has been enforced in all cities of the state from 6 pm yesterday to till 6 am on Monday to check the spread of the coronavirus infection. Madhya Pradesh reported 4 thousand 882 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, taking its tally to around 3 lakh 27 thousand.
As per official data, 23 fatalities pushed the death toll to 4 thousand 136. AIR correspondent reports, in the past three weeks, the state government was already imposed lockdowns in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Gwalior on Sundays and extended the restrictions to some other cities from last Sunday.
Meanwhile, the state government is trying to increase the number of beds for COVID-19 patients in the state to more than one lakh. Private hospitals are also being roped in to increase the number of beds for COVID-19 patients. Besides increasing the number of beds, the government has also decided to set up one COVID-19 care centre in each district. Out of 52 districts in the state, 26 districts have reported more than 50 patients yesterday.
A Maximum 887 people have been infected in Indore, while 686 in Bhopal and 326 new infections have been reported in Jabalpur yesterday.
