In a press release, Mr. Rao said that the security of the strong room in all 51 districts is being taken care of round the clock by the Central Security Force. The security system will remain in place till the counting is complete.

Central Police Force is positioned in the internal perimeter of the strong room and the state’s Armed Police Force is deployed in the outer area.

Mr Rao said candidates have been informed in writing to deploy their representatives to keep a close watch on the security arrangements of the strong room.

Earlier, a delegation of the Congress Party today met the Election Commission and demanded full proof security of Electronic Voting Machines inside strongrooms and secure handling during counting in Chattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.
