MP: EC allows pregnant woman to vote without standing in queue

In Madhya Pradesh, Pregnant women will not have to stand in queue to vote in assembly election . Understanding the physical problems of such women, the Election Commission is allowing them to vote without standing in line.

According to Chief Election Officer of Madhya Pradesh, these women will have to register themselves in the Sugamya portal designed by state election commission. After registration, they will be given a special pass to vote without standing in line.

The election commission is also establishing 500 pinks booths in the state for the assembly election. These polling booths will run by only women officers and workers. Elections will be held on November 28 and counting will be held on December 11 in state.

Our correspondent reports that with just a few days left for polling, campaigning has intensified across the state. Leaders of political parties are touring various areas, garnering support for their candidates in Madhya Pradesh.

Central Minister Rajnath Singh, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Smriti Irani and many senior leaders from BJP and Raj Babbar, Randeep Singh Surjewala and Navjot Singh Siddhu from Congress have addressed rallies in support of party candidates today.

BSP Chief Mayavati and Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav have also taken part in election campaign while BJP Chief Amit Shah and Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi will lead the campaign from tomorrow.
