Karnataka reports 5,199 new COVID cases and 82 deaths

Karnataka has reported 5,199 new COVID cases and 82 deaths today. The State received 33,565 COVID test results today in the last 24 hours. 

Those tested till date stand at 11,76,827. On date there were 2,088 persons discharged after recovery. The recovery rate remains dismal at 37.28 per cent and mortality rate is at 1.95 per cent. 

Highest caseload remains in Bengaluru urban district. It reported 1,950 new cases and 29 deaths today. 

The Youth Empowerment and Sports Minister in the State C T Ravi who has recovered from Corona infection recently shared his views with AIR on how to deal with the Corona infection.
