J&k LG greets people on eve of Kheer Bhawani Mela

In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor G C Murmu has extended his heartiest greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir especially the Kashmiri Pandit community, on the eve of Kheer Bhawani Mela of Ragyna Goddess. He said that this festival symbolizes harmonized cultural ethos of J&K  and reflects of its glorious pluralistic values.
The auspicious mela, which was scheduled to be organized at Tulmulla village in Ganderbal district of Kashmir valley today, was cancelled by Dharmarth Trust due to the prevailing unprecedented circumstances in view of the Corona virus pandemic.
The J&K Administration has asked the Kashmiri Pandit community not to throng Tulmulla village and instead perform the Puja-Archana at their homes only in an effort to prevent the spread of the contagion.
