J&K govt evacuates more than 2,60,000 stranded residents from various states, UTs

Jammu and Kashmir Government has evacuated more than 2 lakh 60 thousand stranded residents from various states and Union Territories till date. AIR Jammu Correspondent reports that about 2,60,615 Jammu and Kashmir residents have been evacuated via Lakhanpur and through special trains and buses till date amid strict observance of all necessary guidelines and SOPs.
 
So far 73 trains have reached Jammu with 63,503 stranded passengers while 15,696 passengers have reached Udhampur in 21 special trains. The Jammu and Kashmir  administration has received 94 special trains at Jammu and Udhampur railway stations from different states and Union Territories.
