Election Commission
Congress, PDP and delegations of various other political parties on Thursday met ECI-appointed Special Observers Team in Srinagar.

This was a follow up of real assessment exercise by ECI for exploring the possibility for holding Assembly Polls in the state.

National Conference did not meet the team of observers.

ECI team also had meetings with security and divisional administration officials and other stakeholders to have a first-hand account of all aspects of the situation in the Kashmir region.

The EC-appointed three-member team arrived in Srinagar on Thursday morning on a two-day visit to the state.

The team comprising Vinod Zutshi, Dr Noor Mohammad and A.S. Gill, will hold a similar exercise on Friday in Jammu.
