Home Minister Amit Shah has said that the government has developed a proactive defence policy which is different from foreign policy. Inaugurating the new building of the National Security Guards at Rajarhat in Kolkata, he said that India has now joined the league of countries like the US and Israel in carrying out surgical strikes. The Home Minister said that India will give a befitting reply to those who will break the internal peace of the country or try to enter into its soil.

Hailing the NSG jawans for fighting terror, Mr Shah said, the government has taken measures to make it the best force in the world. He said the Centre is working on a policy to enable jawans to stay with their families for at least 100 days in a year.

Speaking at a rally he said, the CAA, he re-assured the minorities that they will not lose their citizenship in the wake of implementation of Citizenship Amendment Act. He asserted that the government will not stop until and unless all refugees in the country are granted citizenship under the CAA.

Accusing opposition parties, including the TMC, of misguiding the refugees and minorities the Home Minister said that not a single person will lose citizenship as a result of the Citizenship Amendment Act.
