Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar has said that India is doing much more for climate with target of reduction of 35 per cent of emissions.

Speaking at the CII Partnership Summit virtually this evening, Mr Javadekar said, India brought down 2005 levels by 21 per cent before onset of Paris Agreement.

He said, India is achieving and going beyond targets with 450 Giga Watt Renewable Energy target.

The Minister said, India is the only country in G20 to meet its commitments.

He said, despite constraints, India has 8 per cent of world's biodiversity due to its cultural ethos and it has performed its goals.

Mr Javadekar said, fresh climate ambitions by countries without delivering on promised commitments, is a flawed approach.
