Govt committed to protect interest of working class: Labour Minister

The government is committed to protect the interest of the working class in the country and it has prepared four labour codes by merging different labour laws.

Responding to supplementaries in the Rajya Sabha, Labour Minister Santosh Gangwar said, the government has not received any notice for a proposed nationwide strike by the several central trade unions on 8th of January next year.

He said, once the government will receive the intimation, it will discuss with the stakeholders over their demands.


He also said, in the last three years, the government has worked on 98 per cent demands of different labour unions whenever they approached the government regarding their issues.
