Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman says introduction DBT and GST are silent revolutions of country

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said the introduction of Direct Benefit Transfer(DBT) and GST  are being CITED as silent revolutions of the country.

Speaking to commemorate 44th Civil Accounts Day, she said India is proud of these achievements as these are being talked about as major reforms. 

Lauding the civil accountants, the Finance minister said, they have revolutionized the technology-driven public finance management systems that silently empowered India.


Ms Sitharaman said, public finance can be efficient and all civil account officers have proven it. She said nearly one lakh crore rupees have been saved by efficiently using technologies. The minister said all civil accounts officers have made a product 'Public Financial Management Systems which India is proud of.
