@PIB_India
Film fraternity has welcomed the Centre's decision to allow shooting of films and TV programmes.

Noted filmmaker Subhash Ghai expressed his gratitude to the government for this decision.

Lauding the decision, film director Rahul Rawail shared his thoughts.

Another filmmaker and producer Mehul Kumar said that the move will help daily wage earners in the industry.

Earlier yesterday, Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar released the SOP for shooting and production of film and Television programs amid Covid pandemic.

 'Contact Minimisation' is at the core of the SOP. Mr Javadekar said, this will be ensured by minimal physical contact and sharing of props. Make up artists and hair stylists must use PPEs. People handling shared equipment must wear gloves. Lapel mics are to be avoided and never shared.

Higher risk employees should take extra precautions and preferably not be exposed to frontline work requiring contact with the public. Using face masks is mandatory at all public and workplaces.
