Dust storm followed by rainfall brings down temperatures in UP

In Uttar Pradesh dust storm followed by rainfall at few places yesterday has brought down temperatures giving relief to people from the heat.

Giving a slight sigh of relief from the heat, Thunderstorm with gusty winds and rains brought temperatures several notches below the normal in state at some places. There was a sharp cut in temperatures at various places.

At Banda and Jhansi of Bundelkhand, it was recorded 39 degrees and 39.5 degree Celsius respectively, ten degrees below from previous days. Etawah and Orai were the hottest places in the state with 46 degrees each.

Speedy winds have damaged Mango and Litchi crops in Tarai belt at several places. The Met Department has warned of heatwave conditions very likely to prevail at isolated places over Eastern Uttar Pradesh.

It has also forecast dust and thunderstorm accompanied by lightning very likely at isolated places over the state.
