Divisional Commissioner submits report regarding cause of fire in Bhandara Civil Hospital in Maharashtra

Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Kumar submitted his report today to Maharashtra government regarding the cause of fire in Bhandara Civil Hospital’s SNCU unit. As per details shared by the State government, due to the increased temperature of warmer, the mattress caught fire.
 
The State government has taken action on 7 staff members including the Civil Surgeon. Additional Civil Surgeon Sunil Badhe has also been transferred. Ten newborn babies admitted in the special newborn care unit of the hospital had died while seven others were rescued on January 9.
