India has termed the comments made by United States Commission on International Religious Freedom, USCIRF on Delhi Violence as factually inaccurate and misleading.

Responding to a media query on it, External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said, the remarks  by USCIRF and a few individuals over the incidents appeared to be aimed at politicising the issue.

Mr Kumar said, India's law enforcement agencies are working on the ground to prevent violence and ensure restoration of confidence and normalcy.

Prime Minister has publically appealed for peace and brotherhood. The spokesperson has urged not to make irresponsible comments at this sensitive time.
