COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 97.90 per in Puducherry

A total number of 12,941 persons immunised in the Union Territory of Puducherry till date, which includes 10,132 health care workers, 1,864 frontline staffs and 945 general public. AIR correspondent reports that in order to expedite the immunisation drive the Central Government has allowed round-the-clock COVID-19 vaccination.

In a tweet, Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said that people can now get vaccinated 24 x 7 according to their convenience. All private hospitals were also allowed to give the vaccines if they adhere to the laid down norms.

As far as Puducherry is concerned the government set up 17 Vaccination Centres across the UT.

According to the Health Department statistics, with 19 persons discharged from the hospitals, the active cases stood at 166, includes 70 in hospitals and 96 in home isolation.

The recovery rate from the infection stands at 97.90 per cent and the case fatality rate is 1.68 per cent.
