Asian stocks end mixed and trade in narrow range following cautious approach of investors in Wall Street

Asian stocks today ended mixed and traded in a narrow range following the cautious approach of investors in Wall Street amid expectations of a US stimulus and impeachment process of President Donald Trump.
 
Japan's NIKKEI-225 and Hong Kong's Hang Seng, both gained 0.9 per cent and Singapore's Straits Times climbed 0.8 per cent. On the other side, South Korea’s KOSPI added marginally by 0.1 per cent while China’s Shanghai Composite index declined 0.9 per cent.
 
European stocks were up marginally in intraday trade. London’s FTSE-100 gained 0.7 per cent while France’s CAC and Germany's DAX were trading almost flat.
