3 Terrorists killed in an encounter in the outskirts of Srinagar

In Kashmir valley, three terrorists were  killed in an ongoing encounter between terrorists and security forces in Hokarsar area on the outskirts of Srinagar.

Police sources told AIR that three terrorists have been killed this morning in fresh exchange of firing between hiding terrorists  and security forces.

The identity of the slain terrorists is yet to be ascertained. SECURITY forces had launched cordon and search operation in the area last evening on specific input  about presence of terrorists . As searching party reached the targeted house, terrorists opened fire triggering an encounter. The police sources said the operation was suspended in the night to avoid collateral damage. However, cordon was strengthened to prevent terrorists from escaping. The operation was on  when reports last came in.
