Terrorists kill policeman in Mir Bazaar area of south Kashmir's Kulgam district

In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists shot dead a policeman in Mir Bazaar area of south Kashmir's Kulgam district last night.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Kulgam Gurvinder Pal Singh said that at around 9:20 p.m., terrorists fired upon Abdul Rasheed Dar at his home in Furrah village. He received serious bullet wounds and was rushed to District Hospital, Anantnag in critical condition where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Soon after the attack, security forces cordoned off the whole area and  launched a massive manhunt to nab the assailants.

An FIR under relevant sections of law was registered at  Qazigund Police Station  for further investigation.
