Telangana: COVID-19 cases cross 10,000 mark in state

In Telangana, the number of COVID-19 cases crossed the 10,000 mark with 891 persons testing positive for Coronavirus. The total number of cases reported in the state so far has become 10,444. Positive cases have been shooting up for the past ten days ever since the State government initiated for testing 50,000 samples to gauge the prevalence of the disease.
 
Out of the 891 fresh cases reported yesterday, 719 cases reported from the Hyderabad municipality area while Rangareddy district accounted 85 and Medchal accounted for 55. Of the total, 4,361 have been so far discharged after recovery while 5 thousand 848 are active cases. Meanwhile, 5 more died yesterday, taking the total deaths relating to COVID 19 and other co-morbidities in the state to 225.
