Telangana: 30 state govt employees suspended for not attending poll duties

In Telangana, 30 state government employees have been suspended for not attending poll duties in Nalgonda district.

These employees were deployed but not attended the election duty during the first phase polling for Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituencies (ZPTCs) election held on 6th of this month.

Nalgonda District Collector Gaurav Uppal issued notices to 86 employees, who did not attend the poll duty, seeking explanation and suspended 30 of them last evening.

About 3500 employees have been put on poll duty for the Local Bodies elections and two more phases of polling is to be held.
