Nobody should remain hungry due to lockdown: CM Yogi Adityanath

In Uttar Pradesh, the government is strictly managing  Lockdown for containing of Covid-19 and also committed for people's welfare.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said nobody should remain hungry due to lockdown. The government will provide jobs to the labourers returned from cities under MGNREGA scheme.

AIR correspondent reports, the government has online transferred more than 611 crore rupees in the the accounts of more than twenty seven lakh MG NREGA workers. The  government has also  send 871 crore rupees in the accounts of pension holders under various schemes  in state. It has been decided that Government will provide work under MGNREGS scheme to labourers returned from various cities. Rural  Department has order that after 20 April NREGA  works will be started outside the areas of  containment zones of Corona.

Principal Secretary of Rural Development Manoj Kumar Singh said that the works under MGNREGA will be carried out according to guidelines of union government. The laborers  who do not have job cards of MGNREGA will be provided the job cards instantly so that they do not  have to go for jobs at other places.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath  has instructed for giving honorarium and wages to the temporary laborers and workers who could not attend their workplaces due to lockdown.
