Maharashtra govt. issues guidelines for easing of restrictions and phase-wise opening of lockdown

The Maharashtra government today issued guidelines for phase-wise opening and easing of restrictions in the state. As per the notification, easing of restrictions and phase-wise opening will begin from June 3rd, 5th and 8th. 

Outdoor physical activities, activities related to self-employed people have been permitted while maintaining social distancing norms and usage of masks and sanitisation. 

Apart from this private offices can operate with up to 10 per cent requirements with remaining  persons working from home. 

AIR Correspondent reports, the gradual easing of restrictions and phase-wise  opening of lockdown to be implemented in Municipal Corporation of Mumbai metropolitan region, MCGM, Pune, Solapur, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Nashik and Malegaon among others is the state government's 'Mission Begin Again', which will see commencement of outdoor physical activities like cycling, jogging, running on public open spaces from 3rd of June. 

However, no activities will be permitted in indoor portion or indoor stadium. The notification also stresses that children should be accompanied by an adult, besides, persons above 65 years of age, persons with comorbidities, pregnant women and children below the age of 10 years are advised to stay at home except for essential and medical services. 

It also says that all Government offices will function at 15 per cent strength or minimum 15 employees whichever is more. 

From 5th June onwards, all markets, shops, except malls and market complexes are allowed to function by putting a rider on owners of the shops to ensure social distancing norms and foot markings on the floor. 

From 8th June, the notification says, all private offices can operate with up to 10 per cent requirements with remaining  persons working from home. 

Meanwhile, activities that will remain prohibited across the state are schools, colleges, coaching institutions, metro, hotels and restaurants, social, political, cultural, sports, entertainment functions, cinema halls, gymnasiums, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres, bars, auditoriums, assembly halls, religious places, saloons and beauty parlours.
