COVID-19 recovery rate improves to 81.55%

Union Government today said that the country's recovery rate among the COVID-19 patients has reached 81.55 per cent.
More than 87 thousand COVID patients have recovered during the last 24 hours.
Health Ministry said, the total number of recoveries has reached over 46 lakh 74 thousand.
The constantly increasing recoveries have ensured that the actual caseload of the country is reduced and currently comprises only 16.86 per cent of the total positive cases.

India's COVID-19 tally has crossed 57 lakh with 86 thousand 508 new infections being reported in a day.
Presently, the total number of active cases in the country is nine lakh 66 thousand.
The Ministry said, effective implementation of Centre's strategic and graded Test-Track and Treat approach has led to higher recoveries and lower fatality.

Currently, India’s Case Fatality Rate is at 1.59 per cent, which is one of the lowest globally.
