12 Islands of Andaman and Nicobar chosen for expansion of high impact projects, says Prime Minister

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said 12 islands of Andaman and Nicobar have been chosen for the expansion of high impact projects. He said this during his interaction with BJP workers of Andaman and Nicobar Islands through video conferencing. Mr Modi said in Andaman and Nicobar, the government is going to lay emphasis on industries related to sea-food, organic products and coconut-based products. He said, the entire nation needs to progress for the development of New India. He stressed that government's work should reach out to everyone.

The interaction comes a day before the launch of Under sea Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) between Chennai and Port Blair. About 200-250 workers of BJP units inRangat and Diglipur alongwith Port Blair Unit took part in the event. The Prime Minister was informed about the relief works conducted by BJP workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
