J&K: Pakistani troops violate ceasefire along LOC in areas of Kupwara district, 1 killed, 5 injured

In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, a 40-year-old man was killed and five others got injured as Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked heavy artillery shelling along the Line of Control in Karnah, Chowkibal and Nougam areas of Kupwara district yesterday.
 
A senior Army Officer said that Pakistan Army resorted to ceasefire violations along the LoC by firing arms and mortars at three different Sectors in Kupwara, resulting into injuries to six civilians in Karnah and Chowkibal areas. However, Army gave befitting reply to the Pakistani aggression.
 
All the injured civilians were shifted to different Hospitals but one Mohammad Arif succumbed to injuries. The condition of a woman of Chowkibal area is stated to be critical. Meanwhile, Indian army retaliated effectively and gave a befittting reply to Pakistani Army.
