COVID 19: Gujarat govt decides to shut all educational institutes, multiplexes and swimming pools for 2 weeks

Gujarat government has decided to shut all educational institutes, multiplexes and swimming pools for two weeks beginning today. The decision was taken as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of COVID 19 in the state. However, Board exams will be carried out as per the schedule.

Chief Secretary Anil Mukim said the government has also decided to imposed a fine of 500 rupees for spitting in public.

He said, the state government has also put ban of seminars and workshops till March 31. He appealed private religious intitutions to avoid large public gathering.  

There is no positive case of corona virus in the state so far.
