Bangladesh welcomes PM Modi’s proposal for collective strategy by SAARC countries

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has welcomed the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to SAARC nations to chalk out a strategy to fight coronavirus
. Welcoming the proposal the State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh Shahriar Alam said in a tweet on Friday that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina looks forward to a constructive dialogue with Heads of governments and states of Maldives, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and others in the region.
Earlier Prime Minister Narendra Modi had proposed that the leadership of the SAARC nations chalk out a strong strategy to fight Coronavirus to set an example to the world and contribute to a healthier planet. He proposed to discuss the strategy with the SAARC leaders via video conferencing.
Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Maldives welcomed the proposal of Prime Minister Modi to work out a strategy to fight Coronavirus infection which has been declared a pandemic by the WHO.
