Large number of industries to be set up in J&K with govt's initiative: Jitendra Singh
PTI
Union Minister Jitendra Singh has said that with the initiative of the government, a large number of industries will be set up in Jammu and Kashmir. He asked the local youth to come forward and join hands with these industrialists to start entrepreneurship in joint venture.
Dr Jitendra Singh convened a meeting with district administration of Udhampur to have a detailed review of progress on all centrally sponsored schemes being implemented in the district. He reviewed the progress on prestigious Devika Project asking the executing agency to ensure expeditious completion of this vital work.
The Minister asked the concerned officers to make sure that all development plans and identification of beneficiaries be done in consultation with Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs). He asked the chairpersons of Block Development Councils (BDCs) to submit the list of left out areas that require road connectivity. He stressed that main focus of government is to empower Panchayati Raj Institutions and advised the officers to cooperate and ensure that all funds, functions and functionaries are transferred to the PRIs as per government circulars.
