Delhi HC directs man to plant 50 trees, agress to close power theft case

The Delhi High Court has directed a man to plant 50 trees as community service, while agreeing to close criminal proceedings against him in a power theft case.

The Court asked him to report to the Deputy Conservator of Forest, DFC, (West), who shall assign him the duty to plant indigenous trees including in the Central Ridge Reserve Forest.

The court also asked the man and DCF to file an affidavit of compliance of its order, failing which the registry shall list the case for directions. The officer will have to monitor and ensure upkeep of the plantation.
