Madhya Pradesh Rains: Met Dept. issues 'red warning' for 27 districts

In Madhya Pradesh, widespread rain continued to lash several parts of state for the fourth consecutive day. Due to incessant rainfall, the Meteorological Centre has released warnings for several parts of the state for the next 48 hours.

The meteorological department issued a 'red warning' for 28 districts as it forecasts heavy downpour in those areas for the next 48 hours.

MeT office has predicted that due to the influence of various systems working in and around Madhya Pradesh, heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur in many districts of the state including Indore, Ujjain, Vidisha, Hoshangabad, Khandwa and Jabalpur.

The relief commissioner of the state also issued warning to 27 district collectors for the arrangement of disaster management.
