IFFI's Golden Jubilee Edition to be held from Nov 20 till 28 in Goa

The Golden Jubilee Edition of International Film Festival of India, IFFI will be held from 20th Nov till 28th November 2019 in Panaji, Goa.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar gave this information to mediapersons after the steering committee meeting of IFFI 2019 in Panaji. Mr Javdekar said, Iffi is our pride and road shows will be organised in seven cities.

He added that  business exhibition will showcase the latest technology, film production and distribution and other aspects regarding films. To mark 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi,  separate exhibition will be held.

The Minister said, students from FTII and Satyajit Ray Institute of India and students from some other film institutes will be a part of it to gain some hands on experience.

He said, President of Oscar Academy John Bailey and other eminent cinematographers and producers have been invited for the event. Russia will be IFFI partner in this edition.

Mr Javdekar said, the idea to rope in some private theatres for viewing of cinema to reach out to masses is being worked out.

On the occasion, Union Minister Javdekar and Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant released special IFFI Golden Jubilee poster.
