BJP delegation visits violence-hit Bhatpara in West Bengal

In West Bengal, a three-member Parliamentary delegation of BJP visited Bhatpara in North 24 Paraganas District today where two persons were shot dead in a group clash recently. 

The delegation, led by former Union Minister and MP S S Aluwalia, will submit its report to the Union Home Minister Amit Shah after returning to Delhi. 

Our Kolkata Correspondent reports that the situation is returning to normalcy after two days of the incident. 

Apart from BJP's delegation, teams of opposition Congress and CPIM also visited the Bhatpara area and met the family members of the victim's family.

The newly appointed Commissioner of Police of Barrackpur Manoj Verma visited the area to take stock of the situation and said that the situation is under control.

Meanwhile, Prohibitory orders under section 144 of the CRPC is still under force in the area as precautionary measures.

The State administration has increased the strength of Police personnel in Bhatpara Police Station to meet any eventualities.
