Representational Pic
In Uttar Pradesh, heatwave continued unabated. The maximum temperature is hovering above 45 degree Celsius at most of the places.

Prayagraj sizzled at 47.4 degrees Celsius, while Banda recorded a maximum of 46.2 degrees, followed by Varanasi at 46 degree Celsius on Saturday.

After two days of relief, the weather has again become staggering. Fire like heat from the sky and hot winds are troubling people in the state.

As the day progresses, people want to return home, and when it is very important, they dare to exit. Markets and roads bear deserted look in the afternoon.

At many places, the district administrations have banned car washing centres till the arrival of monsoon to save water. Long queues of heat stroke, sun burn and dysentery patients may be seen at hospitals.

The Met department has predicted heatwave conditions to continue and thunderstorm and rains very likely at few places in state tomorrow.
