In Uttar Pradesh, heatwave conditions continued to prevail with the maximum temperature touching around 45 degrees Celsius in several places. The sweltering heat has affected normal life preventing the people from stepping out during the day.

The maximum temperature in Banda was recorded at 45 degree Celsius, three degrees above the normal yesterday. Etawah remained at 44.8 and Prayagraj sizzled at 44.7 degree. At most of the places maximum temperature was recorded 3 to 5 degrees above the normal. Even night temperatures are also hovering around 31 degree Celsius at many of the places.

Several parts of the state are facing acute water crisis due excessive heat and Bundelkhand is the worst hit. Maximum time of people is consumed in water collecting and daily wagers and labourers are the most sufferers. The Met Office has forecast dust and thunderstorm with rain at isolated places over the state today.
