Normal life disrupted due to intense heat wave conditions in Odisha

Normal life across Odisha was disrupted due to intense heat wave conditions. As many as 15 cities recorded temperatures above 45 degrees Celsius.

Mercury rose to 45.6 degree Celsius in Sambalpur followed by 45.3 degree Celsius in Talcher and 45.2 degrees each in Sonepur and Hirakud. The Bhubaneswar Meteorological office has issued a yellow warning for 17 districts during the next two days.

Meanwhile, the meteorological centre issued thunder squall warning this morning in several western Odisha and other districts of the state.
