PM Modi to visit Gujarat today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat today to seek the blessings of his mother. This will be Mr Modi's first visit to his home state after the results of 2019 Lok Sabha polls. Mr Modi and BJP president Amit Shah will also be felicitated by the Gujarat unit of the party in Ahmedabad following the massive victory in the polls. State BJP president Jitu Vaghani said, Mr Modi and Mr Shah, will visit the party office in Ahmedabad where they will be felicitated. Mr Vaghani said BJP leaders, supporters and heads of various religious and social organisations will receive the two leaders at the airport. Prime Minister will garland Sardar Patel's statue near the airport and address a public meeting at JP Chowk in Ahmedabad in the evening.

Tomorrow, Mr Modi will travel to his constituency Varanasi to thank the people for re-electing him. Surpassing his previous record of 3.37 lakh votes in 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Mr Modi retained his seat by a margin of 4.79 lakh votes.
