In Madhya Pradesh, polling is underway for eight Lok Sabha seats in the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections, amidst tight security.

Due to good weather condition today, long queues are seen at different polling stations in all the eight Loksabha seats Bhopal, Morena, Bhind, Gwalior, Guna, Sagar, Vidisha and Rajgarh in Madhya Pradesh. Female and young voters’ turnout is visibly high in almost all places.

Polling is underway in more than 18 thousand polling booths. Around 400 control units, ballot units and VVPAT had to be replaced during the mock poll and initial hours of voting. 80 thousand personnel and 45,000 security personnel have been deployed to ensure smooth and peaceful voting.
