Electioneering for 4th phase of LS polls reaches a feverish pitch

Campaigning has reached a feverish pitch for the fourth phase of General elections with political parties making all efforts to woo the voters. Only a day is now left for campaigning. 71 constituencies, spread over nine states, will go to polls in this phase on Monday.

Senior BJP leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed an election rally at Sidhi disctict in Madhya Pradesh. He said, alternative schemes will be drawn up for tribal farmers, horticulture, irrigation and fisheries. The Prime Minister said that KISAN credit cards have also been given to those engaged in animal husbandry. 

Addressing a rally at Jabalpur later in the day, the Prime Minister said, he believes that the poor need to be financially stable and so he converted all the post offices into banks.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Modi filed his nomination from Varanasi parliamentary constituency. BJP President Amit Shah held a public meeting at Jalore district in Rajasthan.

Referring to the party's manifesto, he said that pension would be provided to the farmers and small merchants. He also said that farmers will be given interest free loans. 

AIR correspondent reports, both BJP and Congress are leaving no stone unturned to woo the voters. 

Congress President Rahul Gandhi addressed a public meeting at Samastipur in Bihar. He said, the Lok Sabha election is a fight to save the Constitution and the country. 

Mr Gandhi appealed to the people to exercise their right to franchise consciously. The Congress president also addressed rally at Balasore in Odisha.

In Delhi, candidates of BJP, Aam Aadmi Party and Congress held roadshows and public meetings in their constituencies to woo the voters.
