Bihar: Brisk to moderate polling underway in five Lok Sabha constituencies

In Bihar, brisk to moderate polling is underway in five Lok Sabha constituencies Kishanganj, Purnia, Katihar, Bhagalpur and Banka. In seemanhcal region, Voters are eagerly waiting in the long queues to exercise their franchise.

Peaceful voting is underway at all polling stations. First time eligible electorates are seen in zeal and zest to exercise their franchise.

More than 86 Lakh voters are eligible in this phase and they will decide political future of 68 candidates. In NDA Janta Dal United is contesting all five seats in this phase. 

In Kishanganj Lok Sabha seat the contest is appearing to be triangular with Congress nominee Muhammed Javed, Jnata Dal United Sayed Mehmood Ashraf and Hyderbad based Asaduddin Owaisi party AIMIM’s candidate Akhtarul Iman are locking horns. 


Former union minister Tarique Anwar and former member of parliament Uday Singh alias Pappu Singh from Congress, Putul Kumari Independent and former state minister Dulachandra Goswami are prominent candidates of this phase.
