Bihar: I-T dept seizes cash, huge quantity of gold, diamond jewellery from Chairperson of Muzaffarpur District Board

In Bihar, the Income tax department has seized over one crore fifty lakh cash and a huge quantity of gold and diamond jewellery from multiple residential complex of Chairperson of Muzaffarpur District Board Indra Devi. 

Sources said the raid was conducted after getting information that illegal cash has been kept to lure voters. The IT department has also seized several documents of immovable properties worth crores of rupees. 

A raid was also conducted at residence and office of former MLA Musafir Paswan, relative of chairperson of Muzaffarpur District board and seized illegal cash and gold. The IT has seized over one dozen bank accounts in this regard.
