EC directs parties to desist from indulging any political propaganda involving activities of Defence forces

DD News
Election Commission today directed all political parties to desist from indulging in any political propaganda involving activities of the Defence Forces.  The Commission has issued an advisory to   Presidents of political parties in this regard. The advisory says that the political parties are advised that their campaigners and candidates should desist from such activities.

The poll panel has also cited its earlier advisory in which it had directed political parties to advise their candidates and leaders to refrain from displaying photographs of defence personnel or photographs of functions involving defence personnel in advertisements as part of their election campaign.
