India a victim of terrorism sheltered, supported from across border: PM

DD News Live
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said, India is a victim of terrorism sheltered and supported from across the border and calls on all nations to reject its use against others, dismantle its infrastructure and stop its financing.

In an interview to Arabic newspaper 'Okaz' and English newspaper 'Saudi  Gazette' published on Wednesday, the Prime Minister said, India strongly condemns extremism and terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

Mr. Modi said, the menace of extremism and terrorism threatens all nations and societies, and reject any attempt to link this universal phenomenon to any particular race, religion or culture.

He, however, said bilateral cooperation in areas of counter-terrorism, security and defence have intensified over the years between the two countries.

Mr Modi said, India and Saudi Arabia ties will be a factor for stability, peace and security in the region and the world.
