UP: Last rites of martyrs of Pulwama attack performed with state honours

In Uttar Pradesh, the last rites of martyrs of Pulwama terror attack were performed with full state honours today.

The bodies of the martyrs were taken to their native places under tight security. Twelve of the martyrs hail from Uttar Pradesh. 

"The martyrs were given last adieu with wet eyes in sorroful atmosphere at their native places in state. Several ministers, public representatives and officials were present to give last salute to the saviours of nation.

Union minister of Textile Smriti Irani was present at Kanpur Dehat district where martyr Shyam Baboo was cremated.

Union minister general  VK Singh, Mahesh Sharma including others were also present at last farewell of martyrs. State government has provided financial assistance of rupees 25 lakh each to the families of martyrs.
