Uttar Pradesh: All preparations put in place for third Shahi Snan of Kumbh Mela

In Uttar Pradesh, all preparations have been put in place for third Shahi Snan of the Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj on the occasion of Basant Panchami tomorrow.

This will be the final Shahi Snan. During Shahi Snan, saints and seers of various Akharas and other devotees take holy dip at Sangam, the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati.

After Basant Panchami, there will be two more main bathing festivals, Maghi Purnima on 19th of this month and Mahashivratri on 4th of next month which will be the end of Kumbh Mela.

So far, more than thirteen crore pilgrims have taken the holy dip since the start of the Mela on the 15th of last month. Mela authorities said, people have started reaching the Mela and more than two crore devotees are expected to take the dip tomorrow.

Massive security arrangements have been made for the bathing. Administration has announced the ban on the entry of vehicles into Mela area from today.
AIR correspondent reports that taking lession from previous bathings and expecting huge crowed the Administration has intencified traffic plan and no vehicle is allowed to enter the Mela area from today.

About one hundred  parkings  have been errected at out skirts of city for vehicles coming from other places. Five hundred shuttle busses have been pressed in to service to ferry people free of cost for two days.Forty Snan Ghats have been prepared at Sangam and nearby places.

Besides civil police  12 NDRF and SDRF  teams , 37 companies of Central Para Military Forces have been deployed. Jal police and divers have been put on . Prayagraj administration has declared all educational institutions closed till Monday.

Darshan of Akshayvat has also been closed for three days from today. Mela administration has asked media not to take and publish photographs of bathing women at Sangam under Allahabad High court instructions.
