Funds released for restoration of services affected due to heavy snowfall in HP

Himachal Pradesh government has released 35 crore 17 lakh rupees for restoration of essential services affected due to recent heavy snowfall in the State.

Our correspondent reports, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur reviewed the situation with the senior officers of the State Government and directed them to ensure that all essential services must be restored immediately.

Chief Minister instructed the officers to deploy adequate men and machinery on war footing to clear snowbound roads at the earliest. It may be recalled that the normal life in snowbound areas of the state has been affected badly as road, electricity, telecommunication and water supply snapped at many places due to recent heavy snowfall.
