Congress did not work to alleviate poverty during its rule: Javadekar

Union Minister and senior BJP leader Prakash Javadekar today alleged that Congress did not work  to alleviate  the poverty during its rule.  Briefing reporters in New Delhi, Mr Javadekar  said that the NDA government on the other hand is working to alleviate the sufferings of the poor .

He cited a  World Data Lab report which said that the poverty is reducing at a fast pace in India.
On the issue of alleged  misbehaviour of former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah with a woman, Mr Javadekar termed it as condemnable. He demanded the Congress President Rahul Gandhi to take action against his party leader Siddaramaiah.
