Gujarat, Daman & Diu Naval Area HQs organized cycle expedition to enhance public awareness on importance of Coastal Security

Gujarat, Daman and Diu Naval Area headquarters has organized a cycle expedition from INS Dwarka- Okha to Khukri Memorial in Diu.

394 kilometers long cycle expedition has been organized on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of the Western Naval Command and Navy Week 2018.

Objective of the cycle expedition is to enhance public awareness on the importance of Coastal Security.

AIR correspondent reports that the expedition was flagged off from INS Dwarka this morning. It will terminate at "Khukri Memorial" in Diu with the wreath laying at the Memorial on 9th December by paying homage to the martyrs of INS Khukri who made the supreme sacrifice at sea. 

The expedition comprises one woman officer along with officers and sailors of the Indian Navy posted at various units under the Headquarters of Gujarat, Daman and Diu Naval Area.
