Government welcomes the RBI's assessment for growth and inflation

The government has welcomed the RBI's assessment for growth and inflation.

Secretary Department of Economic Affairs, Subhash Chandra Garg said the Monetary Policy Committee, MPC assessment is consistent with the Government’s assessment of inflation and growth.

Mr Garg said the Government has noted the MPC decision to maintain the policy Rate but said the policy stance probably required calibration.
