Govt says not seeking Rs 3.6 lakh cr from RBI

The government today said there is no proposal to ask RBI to transfer 3.6 or 1 lakh crore rupees as speculated in the media. 
 
Talking to media, Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs S C Garg said lot of misinformation is going around in media and the only proposal under discussion is to fix appropriate economic capital framework of RBI. 
 
Mr Garg said the government's fiscal math is completely on track. He pointed out that Fiscal Deficit in 2013-14 was 5.1 per cent and Government has succeeded in bringing it down substantially from 2014-15 onwards.
